     George Puxley Duntze, 5th Bt. was born on 6 December 1873 at South AfricaG.1 He was the son of Sir George Alexander Duntze, 4th Bt. and Henriette Elizabeth Isabella Thomas.2 He married Violet May Sanderson, daughter of Henry Mark Sanderson, on 16 June 1908.3 He died on 20 May 1947 at age 73.3
     He was with the South African Constabulary.3 He fought in the Boer War in 1900, where he was mentioned in despatches.3 He fought in the First World War, with the South African Brigade and Devon Regiment.3 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Duntze, of Tiverton, co. Devon [G.B., 1774] on 2 May 1922.3

     Violet May Sanderson was the daughter of Henry Mark Sanderson.2 She married George Puxley Duntze, 5th Bt., son of Sir George Alexander Duntze, 4th Bt. and Henriette Elizabeth Isabella Thomas, on 16 June 1908.1 She died on 2 March 1974 at Harare, ZimbabweG.3
     From 16 June 1908, her married name became Duntze.3
