     From 12 December 1922, her married name became Bates.1

     Colonel Denis Haughton Bates was born on 25 August 1886.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Percy Bates, 2nd Bt. and Constance Elizabeth Graves.1 He married Aline Mary Crook, daughter of Edward Tipping Crook, on 12 December 1922.1 He died on 13 September 1959 at age 73.1
     He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the Duke of Lancaster's Own Yeomanry.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Territorial Army.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He was chairman of Cunard Steam Ship Company and Cunard White Star.1

     He was educated at Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Marines (Commando.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1

Clive Vincent Moberly Bell was born on 15 January 1885 at SwitzerlandG.2 He was the son of Charles Frederick Moberly Bell and Ethel Chataway.2 He married Elizabeth Enid Malet, daughter of Allan Arthur Grenville Malet and Elizabeth Anne Lysaght, on 19 July 1916.3 He died on 14 August 1959 at age 74 at London, EnglandG.2
     He was commissioned on 3 September 1902.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.2 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1 He retired from the military on 1 November 1931.2 He lived at 4 Down Street, London, EnglandG.1
