     Colin Adair Barran was born on 6 June 1893.1 He was the son of Charles Barran and Louisa Annie McNab.1 He married Christine Ida Leslie Houghton, daughter of Francis Gassiot Houghton, on 17 July 1913.1 He died on 13 October 1964 at age 71, without issue.1
     Colin Adair Barran gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 52nd Light Infantry.1

     Alfred Barran was born on 29 June 1851.1 He was the son of Sir John Barran, 1st Bt. and Ann Hirst.1 He married, firstly, Lily Maria Scattergood, daughter of Thomas Scattergood, on 8 August 1883.1 He married Anne Mabel Wharton, daughter of Captain Thomas Candler Wharton, on 6 April 1904.1 He died on 12 October 1927 at age 76.1
     Alfred Barran held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.1 He lived at Giggleswick, Settle, Yorkshire, England.1
