     Sir John Barker, 4th Bt. was born circa 1656 at Grimston Hall, Trimley, Suffolk, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Sir John Barker, 2nd Bt. and Winifred Parker.1 He married Bridget Bacon, daughter of Sir Nicholas Bacon and Bridgett Tollemache, on 2 June 1678 at Barham, Suffolk, EnglandG.2 He died in July 1696 at Ipswich, Suffolk, EnglandG.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Barker, of Grimston Hall, in Trimley, co. Suffolk [E., 1622] in 1665.1 He matriculated at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 10 February 1672/73.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich from 1680 to 1681.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich between 1685 and 1687.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich between 1689 and 1696.1

     Bridget Bacon was the daughter of Sir Nicholas Bacon and Bridgett Tollemache.1,2 She married, firstly, Sir John Barker, 4th Bt., son of Sir John Barker, 2nd Bt. and Winifred Parker, on 2 June 1678 at Barham, Suffolk, EnglandG.2 She married, secondly, John Ellis circa 4 October 1698.1
     From 2 June 1678, her married name became Barker.1 From 4 October 1698, her married name became Ellis.1

     He was appointed Knight Bachelor.1 He lived at Shrubland, Suffolk, EnglandG.1

     Sir William Barker, 5th Bt. was born circa 1680.1 He was the son of Sir John Barker, 4th Bt. and Bridget Bacon.1 He married, firstly, Mary Bence, daughter of John Bence and Catherine Glemham, on 8 October 1713 at Heveningham, Suffolk, EnglandG.2 He married, secondly, Anne (?) on 9 February 1731 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 23 July 1731.1 His will was proven (by probate) in August 1731.1
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Barker, of Grimston Hall, in Trimley, co. Suffolk [E., 1622] in July 1696.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich between 1708 and 1713.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thetford between 1713 and 1715.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Suffolk between 1722 and 1731.1 He lived at Sproughton, Suffolk, EnglandG.1 He lived at Ipswich, Suffolk, EnglandG.1
