     Francis Rowland Berkeley was born in May 1840.1 He was the son of Robert Berkeley and Henrietta Sophia Benfield.1 He married Frances Weld, daughter of John Weld, on 26 June 1879.1 He died on 7 March 1925 at age 84.1

     Captain John Joseph Francis Berkeley-Weld was born in 1880.1 He was the son of Francis Rowland Berkeley and Frances Weld.1 He died on 11 August 1960, unmarried.1
     Captain John Joseph Francis Berkeley-Weld was baptised with the name of John Joseph Francis Berkeley.1 He was educated at Stonyhurst College, Lancashire, England.1 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire in 1906.1 He fought in the First World War, where he wa mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 1st Battalion, King's Own Regiment.1 On 1924 his name was legally changed to John Joseph Francis Berkeley-Weld.1
