     Major Peter Bell was born on 1 February 1912 at St. Neots, Huntingdonshire, England.1,2 He was the son of John Bell and Irene Clare Kennedy.1 He married Olive Hilary Roylance, daughter of Robert Roylance and Olive Drinan, in March 1946 at Westminster, London, England.1,2 He died in May 1991 at age 79 at Northallerton, Yorkshire, England.1,2
     Major Peter Bell gained the rank of Major in the service of the Gordon Highlanders.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of North Yorkshire in 1983.1 He lived at The Old Hall, Thirsk, Yorkshire, England.1
