     Major John André was born in 1751.1,2 He was the son of Anthony André and Marie Louise Girardot.1 He died on 2 October 1780 at Tappan, New York, U.S.A., hung as a traitor.1
     Major John André has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.2

     Sir William Andrewe, 1st Bt. married unknown Paris.1 He died before January 1649, from gout.1 He was buried at Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England.1
     Sir William Andrewe, 1st Bt. was created 1st Baronet Andrewe, of Deinton [Little Doddington], co. Northampton [England] on 11 December 1641.1 In February 1648 he was a Royalist and a Compounder.1
     He had five sons, three of whom fell at the battle of Worcester, fighting for the Royalists.1

     Sir William Andrewe, 3rd Bt. succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Andrewe, of Deinton [Little Doddington], co. Northampton [E., 1641] after 1649.1

     Sir Francis Andrews, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir William Andrewe, 3rd Bt. and Eleanor Atslow.1 He married Bridget Clifton, daughter of Sir Thomas Clifton, 1st and last Bt. and Bridget Hussey.1 He died on 3 April 1759 at Chelsea, London, England.1
     Sir Francis Andrews, 4th Bt. succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Andrewe, of Deinton [Little Doddington], co. Northampton [E., 1641] on 15 August 1684.1 In 1698 he sold the estate of Downham under an Act of Parliament.1
