     Professor Sir Ernest Donald Acheson was born on 17 September 1926.1 He was the son of Captain Malcolm King Acheson and Dorothy Josephine Rennoldson.1 He married, firstly, Barbara Mary Castle.1 He and Barbara Mary Castle were divorced in 2002.1 He married, secondly, Angela Judtih Roberts in 2002.1 He died on 10 January 2010 at age 83.2
