     Sir Albert Francis Abbott was born on 10 December 1913 at Marvel Loch, Western Australia, AustraliaG.1 He was the son of Albert Victor Abbott and Diana (?).1 He married Gwendoline Joyce Maclean in 1941.1 He died on 10 February 2006 at age 92.2
     He was educated at Mackay State School, Mackay, Queensland, AustraliaG.1 He was educated at Mount Martin State School, Mount Martin, Queensland, AustraliaG.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1941 and 1945, in the Royal Australian Air Force.1 He held the office of Mayor of Mackay, Queensland between 1970 and 1988.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1974.1 He was appointed Knight in 1981.1 He held the office of Honorary Director of Central Queensland University in 1996.1 He lived in 2003 at 2 Tudor Court, Mackay, Queensland, AustraliaG.1
     He has two sons and four daughters.1
