     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) on 9 November 1906.2 He was created 1st Baronet Stafford [U.K.] on 21 January 1914.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] on 29 November 1918.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland (F.R.C.S.I.)3
