     Susanna Mary Fletcher was born on 26 January 1945.1,2 She is the daughter of Charles Montague Fletcher and Hon. Louisa Mary Sylvia Seely.1 She married Nicholas Walter Lyell, Baron Lyell of Markyate, son of Sir Maurice Legat Lyell and Veronica Mary (?), on 2 September 1967.1
     From 2 September 1967, her married name became Walter.1 She lived in 1999 at Hill Farm, Markyate, Hertfordshire, England.1

     Nicholas Walter Lyell, Baron Lyell of Markyate was born on 6 December 1938.3 He is the son of Sir Maurice Legat Lyell and Veronica Mary (?).2,3 He married Susanna Mary Fletcher, daughter of Charles Montague Fletcher and Hon. Louisa Mary Sylvia Seely, on 2 September 1967.2
     Nicholas Walter Lyell, Baron Lyell of Markyate was a practising barrister.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Hemel Hempstead between 1979 and 1983.3 He was invested as a Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1980.2,3 He was invested as a Knight in 1987.3 He held the office of Solicitor-General between 1987 and 1992.3 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1990.3 He held the office of Attorney-General between 1992 and 1997.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for North-East Bedfordshire between 1997 and 2001.2,3 He was created Baron Lyell of Markyate, of Markyate in the County of Hertfordshire [U.K. Life Peer] on 27 June 2005.1
