     Colonel Henry George Gore-Browne, V.C. was born on 30 September 1830 at Newtown, County Roscommon, Ireland.2 He married Jane Anne Seely, daughter of Charles Seely and Mary Hilton, on 10 April 1882.1 He died on 15 November 1912 at age 82 at Shanklin, Isle of Wight, England.2 He was buried at St. Mary the Virgin, Brook, Isle of Wight, England.2
     Colonel Henry George Gore-Browne, V.C. fought in the Siege of Lucknow in 1857.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 32nd Regiment.2 He was decorated with the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 20 June 1862, for his actions on 21 August 1857.1,2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1
