     Colonel Henry George Gore-Browne, V.C. was born on 30 September 1830 at Newtown, County Roscommon, Ireland^G.² He was the son of Arthur Browne and Anna Elizabeth Clements.³ He married Jane Anne Seely, daughter of Charles Seely and Mary Hilton, on 10 April 1882.⁴ He died on 15 November 1912 at age 82 at Shanklin, Isle of Wight, England^G.² He was buried at St. Mary the Virgin, Brook, Isle of Wight, England^G.²
     He was given the name of Henry George Browne at birth.³ He gained the rank of Captain in the 32nd Regiment.² He fought in the Siege of Lucknow in 1857.² He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 20 June 1862, for his actions on 21 August 1857.^1,2 In 1902 his name was legally changed to Henry George Gore-Browne by Deed Poll.³ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 100th Regiment.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire.³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy-Governor of Isle of Wight in 1912.³

     Arthur Seely was born on 1 June 1860.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Seely, 1st Bt. and Emily Evans.¹ He died on 2 June 1860.¹

     Geroge Percy Wright was born on 19 August 1887.² He married Lena Esther Maher on 6 October 1920.² He died on 2 December 1940 at age 53.²
