     Joan de la Pole was the daughter of Richard de la Pole and Joan (?)1 She married Ralph Basset, son of Ralph Basset and Joan Sturdon, after April 1339.1
     From after April 1339, her married name became Basset.1

     Ralph Basset was the son of Ralph Basset and Joan de la Pole.1 He married Alianore (?)2 He died on 6 June 1385.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Lord Basset, of Weldon [E., 1299] after 1368, de jure.1 On 6 December 1368 he had livery of his father's lands in Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and Staffordshire.2 He lived at Great Weldon, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.2

     Ralph Basset was born circa 1377.1 He was the son of Ralph Basset and Alianore (?)1 He died on 9 January 1399/0, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 5th Lord Basset, of Weldon [E., 1299] on 6 June 1385, de jure.1
     On his death, any Barony created by the writ of 1299 fell into abeyance between his two great-aunts, Joan and Alianore.2
