     Enrique II, Rey de Castilla y León was born illegitimately in 1334.3 He was the son of Alfonso XI, Rey de Castilla y León and Eleanor Guzman.3 He married Joanna de Peñafiel, daughter of Juan Manuel de Peñafiel, Duque de Villena and Blanca de la Cerda, in 1350.3 He died in 1379.3
     He gained the title of Conde de Trastámara.4 Enrique II, Rey de Castilla y León also went by the nick-name of Henrique 'the Bastard'.4 He succeeded as the Rey Enrique II de Castilla in 1369.3 He succeeded as the Rey Enrique II de León in 1369.1
