He married, secondly, Angelika Kiessig on 14 August 1972. He and Angelika Kiessig were divorced on 14 October 1988. He died in October 2019.
     He was given the name of Ludwig Albrecht Maria Philipp Peter Ferdinand Jarl Gottfried Georg Alfons at birth. He abdicated as Duke of Württemberg, and all his rights to the Württemberg Succession on 19 January 1960.2

     He was given the name of Karl Maria Peter Ferdinand Philipp Albrecht Joseph Michael Pius Konrad Robert Ulrich at birth.2
