     Anton-Günther Friedrich August Josias von Holstein-Gottorp, Herzog von Oldenburg was born on 16 January 1923 at Lensahn, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany^G.² He was the son of Nikolaus Friedrich Wilhelm von Holstein-Gottorp, Hereditary Grand Duke of Oldenburg and Helene Prinzessin zu Waldeck und Pyrmont.¹ He married Ameli Prinzessin zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg, daughter of Udo VI Fürst zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg and Margarethe Gräfin zu Castell-Castell, on 7 August 1951.² He died on 20 September 2014 at age 91.³
     He gained the title of Herzog von Oldenburg.¹

     Rixa Elisabeth Bathildis von Holstein-Gottorp, Herzogin von Oldenburg was born on 28 March 1924.¹ She was the daughter of Nikolaus Friedrich Wilhelm von Holstein-Gottorp, Hereditary Grand Duke of Oldenburg and Helene Prinzessin zu Waldeck und Pyrmont.¹ She died on 1 April 1939 at age 15, after a fall from her horse.¹

     She gained the title of Prinzessin zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg.¹
