     Dr. Philip Henry Spencer was born on 28 January 1966.¹ He is the son of Captain Francis Tracey Spencer and Reverend Diana Margaret Colton Haines.¹
     He was educated at Glenlyon School, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada^G.¹ He graduated from Victoria University, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada^G, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He graduated from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G, with a Doctor of Philosophy, mathematics (Ph.D.)¹

     Joan Elizabeth Spencer was born on 22 May 1921.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel Francis Elmhirst Spencer and Augusta Tracey.¹ She married Surgn.-Cdr. Geoffrey Norman Shell, son of Reverend Alfred Shell, on 23 April 1949.¹ She died on 18 September 2002 at age 81.²
     From 23 April 1949, her married name became Shell. She lived in 1999 at Gomorin, Court Wood, Newton Ferrers, Plymouth, Devon, England^G.¹

     Surgn.-Cdr. Geoffrey Norman Shell is the son of Reverend Alfred Shell.¹ He married Joan Elizabeth Spencer, daughter of Colonel Francis Elmhirst Spencer and Augusta Tracey, on 23 April 1949.¹
     He gained the rank of Surgeon-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Reverend Alfred Shell gained the rank of Chaplain in the Royal Navy.¹

     Peter Geoffrey Shell was born on 10 August 1951.¹ He is the son of Surgn.-Cdr. Geoffrey Norman Shell and Joan Elizabeth Spencer.¹ He married Marianne Jane Tissier, daughter of Paul Pierre Tissier, in 1984.¹
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 1999 at 5 Kingsdale Road, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Marianne Jane Tissier is the daughter of Paul Pierre Tissier.¹ She married Peter Geoffrey Shell, son of Surgn.-Cdr. Geoffrey Norman Shell and Joan Elizabeth Spencer, in 1984.¹

     Timothy Geoffrey Shell was born on 3 August 1987.¹ He is the son of Peter Geoffrey Shell and Marianne Jane Tissier.¹

     Jonathan Paul Shell was born on 22 September 1992.¹ He is the son of Peter Geoffrey Shell and Marianne Jane Tissier.¹
