     Major William Alfred Anson was born on 19 March 1897.2 He was the son of Hon. Francis Anson and Caroline Cleveland.2 He married Dorothy Helme Mashiter, daughter of Richard Mashiter, on 7 October 1919.2 He died on 29 October 1952 at age 55.2
     Major William Alfred Anson was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.2 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 13th/18th Light Hussars.2 He lived at The Manor, Leamington, Warwickshire, England.1
