     Katherine Maberly was born in 1821.1 She was the daughter of John Maberly and Ann Baillie.1 She married General Charles Richard Fox, son of Henry Richard Vassall Fox, 3rd Baron Holland of Foxley and Elizabeth Vassall, on 16 August 1865 at Westminster, London, England.1 She died in 1890.1
     From 16 August 1865, her married name became Fox.1

     He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Horse Artillery.1 He fought in the Nile Campaign between 1884 and 1885.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900, where he was severely wounded at Magersfontein.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1901.1 He retired from the military in 1904.1
