     Rt. Hon. Henry Unwin Addington was born on 24 March 1790.¹ He was the son of Rt. Rev. John Hiley Addington and Mary Unwin.² He married Eleanor Anne Bucknall-Estcourt, daughter of Thomas Grimston Bucknall Bucknall-Estcourt and Eleanor Sutton, on 10 November 1836.¹ He died on 6 March 1870 at age 79, without issue.¹
     He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary for Spain.¹ He held the office of Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs between 1842 and 1854.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)¹
