     From 7 August 1850, her married name became Grant.

     Captain John Grant was born on 10 November 1816 at Glenmoriston, Inverness-shire, Scotland.2 He was the son of James Murray Grant, 11th of Glenmoriston and Henrietta Cameron.3,2 He married, secondly, Anne Chadwick, daughter of James Robert Chadwick and Elizabeth Kershaw.2 He married, firstly, Emily Morrison, daughter of James Morrison and Mary Anne Todd, on 7 August 1850.1 He died on 17 August 1867 at age 50 at Moy House, Forres, Inverness-shire, Scotland.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 42nd Highlanders.1
