     John Hayball Paul was born on 1 January 1816 at Isle of Wight, England.1 He was the son of John Paul and Sarah Hayball.1 He married Mary Ann Aubin, daughter of Frederick George Aubin and Elizabeth Richards, in 1845 at All Saints Church, Croydon, London, England.1 He died in 1899.1
     He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.) in 1840.1 He was co-founder of the Camberwell House Asylum in 1845 at Camberwell House, 32 Peckham Road, Camberwell, London, England.1 He was registered as a Licentiate, Society of Apothecaries (L.S.A.) in 1845.1 He graduated from St. Andrew's University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland, in 1854 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh (F.R.C.P.E.) in 1858.1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Physicians, London (M.R.C.P.) in 1859.1 He was registered as a Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.) in 1859.1
