     Maj.-Gen. Sir Thomas Munro of Lindertis, 1st Bt. was born in 1761. He was the son of Alexander Munro and Margaret Stark.1 He married Jane Campbell, daughter of Richard Campbell, on 30 March 1814.1 He died on 6 July 1827 at Madras, IndiaG.1
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He held the office of Governor of Madras.1 He was created 1st Baronet Munro, of Lindertis, co. Forfar [U.K.] on 6 August 1825.1

     Philip Henry Egerton was born on 9 August 1824.2 He was the son of William Egerton and Sibella Boswell.2 He married, firstly, Mary Marjoribanks, daughter of Sir William Marjoribanks, 2nd Bt. and Mary Stone, on 15 July 1857 at Shropshire, England.2,3 He married, secondly, Maria Louisa Cullen Campbell, daughter of Colonel Alexander Campbell, on 20 October 1886 at Christ Church, Paddington, London, EnglandG.4 He married, thirdly, Maud Mary Wedderburn Clarke-Jervoise, daughter of Samuel Clarke-Jervoise, on 3 September 1890.2 He died on 17 January 1893 at age 68.2
     He was in the Indian Civil Service.2 He lived at Gladwyn, Wrexham, Denbighshire, WalesG.4
