     Charles Nugent was born on 19 February 1850 at Auckland, New Zealand.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Charles Lavallin Nugent and Charlotte Marcia Dean-Pitt.1 He died on 23 December 1879 at age 29 at Kabull, Afghanistan.1
