     Brig.-Gen. Sir Hugh Houghton Stewart, 4th Bt. was born on 15 September 1858.² He is the son of Sir John Marcus Stewart, 3rd Bt. and Annie Coote Houghton.² He married, firstly, Amy Greenwell, daughter of Walpole Eyre Greenwell and Eliza Theophila Morris, on 28 August 1915 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.¹ He married, secondly, Agnes Mary Morton, daughter of Robert Rutherford Morton, on 1 August 1925 at Paddington, London, England.² He died on 18 January 1942 at age 83, without issue.²
