     Sir Brian Patrick McMahon, 8th Bt. was born on 9 June 1942.1 He is the son of Sir William Patrick McMahon, 7th Bt. and Ruth Stella Kenyon-Slaney.2 He married Kathleen Joan Hopwood, daughter of William Hopwood, in 1981.1 He and Kathleen Joan Hopwood were divorced in 1991.1
     Sir Brian Patrick McMahon, 8th Bt. was educated at Wellington College, Wellington, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Wednesbury Technical College, Wednesbury, Warwickshire, England, in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Engineering Metallurgy.1 He was registered as a Associate, Institution of Metallurgists (A.I.M.) in 1967.1 He was an engineer.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet McMahon [U.K., 1817] on 5 January 1977.3 He lived in 2003 at Oak Ridge, School Road, Thorney Hill, Bransgore, Dorset, England.1

     Sir John McMahon, 1st Bt. was the son of John McMahon and unknown wife (?).2,1 He died on 12 September 1817, without issue.1
     Sir John McMahon, 1st Bt. held the office of Private Secretary and Keeper of the Privy Purse to the Prince Regent, (later King George IV).1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland].1 He was created 1st Baronet McMahon [U.K.] on 7 August 1817, with a special remainder to his half-brother, Thomas.1

     From before 1888, her married name became Brooking.1 From 14 August 1888, her married name became McMahon.1

     Lt.-Cdr. John Francis Crofton Barker-Hahlo was the son of Major Hermon Barker-Hahlo and Josephine Christine Crofton.2 He married Ruth Stella Kenyon-Slaney, daughter of Percy Robert Kenyon-Slaney, before 1939.1 He died in January 1941, killed in action.2
     Lt.-Cdr. John Francis Crofton Barker-Hahlo gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War.2
