     Vice-Admiral Hon. Sir Thomas Bladen Capel was born on 25 August 1776.1 He was the son of William Anne Capel, 4th Earl of Essex and Harriet Bladen.1 He married Harriet Catherine Smyth on 10 May 1816.1 He died on 4 March 1853 at age 76, without issue.1
     Vice-Admiral Hon. Sir Thomas Bladen Capel gained the rank of Vice-Admiral of the Blue.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1
