Sir Walter Francis Hely Hutchinson was born on 22 August 1849.1 He was the son of Richard John Hely Hutchinson, 4th Earl of Donoughmore of Knocklofty and Thomasina Jocelyn Steele.1 He married May Justice, daughter of Maj.-Gen. William Clive Justice, on 19 February 1881.1 He died on 23 September 1913 at age 64.1
     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Malta between 1884 and 1889.1 He held the office of Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of the Windward Islands between 1889 and 1893.1 He held the office of Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of Natal and Zululand between 1893 and 1901.1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).1 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.).1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He held the office of Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of the Cape of Good Hope between 1901 and 1910.1 He held the office of High Commissioner to South Africa in 1909.1

     George Clive was the son of Reverend Benjamin Clive and Susannah Floyer.3 He married Sidney Bolton, daughter of Thomas Bolton, on 1 June 1763.3
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bishop's Castle between 1763 and 1779.1,3 He lived at Mountclare, Roehampton, Surrey, England.3 He lived at Wormbridge, Herefordshire, England.1

     Sir Thomas Barrett-Lennard, 1st Bt. was born illegitimately on 6 January 1762.1 He was the son of Thomas Barrett-Lennard, 17th Lord Dacre and unknown Fitzthomas.1 He married, firstly, Dorothy St. Aubyn, daughter of Sir John St. Aubyn, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Wingfield, on 15 February 1787.1 He married, secondly, Georgina Matilda Stirling, daughter of Sir Walter Stirling of Faskine, 1st Bt., on 20 June 1833.2 He died on 25 June 1857 at age 95.2
     He was created 1st Baronet Barrett-Lennard, of Belhus, Essex [U.K.] on 30 June 1801.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.).1
