The engagement was announced 14 July, 2006, between Thomas Oliver Clavell Morton Mansel-Pleydell (b. 1969), scion of the Mansel Baronets (cr 1622), son of the late David Gabriel Morton Mansel-Pleydell, DFC (1923-73), by his wife the former Elisabeth Susan Luard (now Mrs William Yates, of Pewsey, Wilts), & Siobhann Anne Murphy, daughter of the late Mr & Mrs Sean Murphy, of Western Australia.

Maj. John Clavell Mansel, late the Rifle Brigade, b 1917, scion of the Mansel Baronets (cr 1622), son of Maj Rhys Clavell Mansel (1891-1969) by his 1st wife Sylvia Nina, dau of Sir Sir Guy Theophilus Campbell, 3rd Bt; educated at Eton and Christ Church Oxford; JP, DL for Dorset, High Sheriff of Dorset 1968; m 1945, Damaris Joan dau of Hyde Hyde-Thomson, by whom he had issue; d at a Dorchester nursing home, 13 Sept 2007, aged 91. Funeral Service in the Church of St Nicholas of Myra, Kimmeridge, Saturday 22 September.

The marriage took place 9 June 2007, at Milton Lilbourne, between Thomas Oliver Clavell Morton Mansel-Pleydell (b. 1969), scion of the Mansel Baronets (cr 1622), son of the late David Gabriel Morton Mansel-Pleydell, DFC (1923-73), by his wife the former Elisabeth Susan Luard (now Mrs William Yates, of Pewsey, Wilts), & Siobhann Anne Murphy, daughter of the late Mr & Mrs Sean Murphy, of Western Australia.

June 17th, 2009

ASHFORD-RUSSELL
Elizabeth Catherine (née Todd) died suddenly but peacefully at home in
Alresford on 11th June, aged 88. Beloved wife of the late Brian
Harborough Ashford-Russell, greatly loved mother of Carolyn, Jennifer,
Sabrina and Brian and a much treasured grandmother. Thanksgiving
Service to be held at 2.30 p.m. on 2nd July at St. John's, Alresford,
Hampshire

She was the mother of Jennifer Ann, who was the 1st wife of Hugh
Clavell MANSEL, scion of th Mansel Bts by whom she had no issue.

From the Telegraph & Times of 2 February 2012:

CARLYLE-CLARKE Richard on 30th January, devoted husband of Jackie,
loving father of Caroline, Giles, John and James, adored grandfather,
beloved brother of Cherry and Tiggy, and friend to so many. Funeral to
be held on Thursday 9th February at .— 2.30 p.m. at Tollard Royal
Church. Family flowers only please. Any donations in his memory for

Sixpenny Handley, Salisbury SP5 5NJ.

He was the s of William CARLYLE-CLARKE of Salisbury, S Rhodesia. He m
1950 June (?Jackie) (b 1920), d of Lt-Col Henry George Moreton
PLEYDELL-RAILSTON DSO DL (d 1936) and Vivien MANSEL-PLEYDELL
(1889-1977), scion of the MANSEL Bts, and had 3 sons and a dau as
above.
