Matilda de Bethune F #31105
Also known as Mahaut or Maud, she was born about 1230 and died 8 November 1264. It was about 2 February 1246 that she married Guy of Dampierre. Her parents were Robert VII of Bethune, Advocate of Arras (born about 1190, died in Sardinia on 11 November 1249) and his wife, married in 1230, Elizabeth (born about 1185), daughter of Arnold IV of Morialmez .
The parents of Robert VII were William II and Maud of Dendermonde: see below.
Baldwin of Bethune M #250232
Probably Sir Baldwin of Bethune, born about 1190 and died after 1240. Possibly the son of Baldwin of Bethune, Count of Aumale (born about 1160, died 13 October 1212) by an unrecorded first marriage or a mistress. More likely his nephew, third son of his brother William II of Bethune, Advocate of Arras (born about 1160, died 1214) and his wife, married in 1190, Maud (born about 1170 and died 14 April 1224) daughter of Walter of Dendermonde. Either way, there is no trace of any descendants.
