The marriage took place, 15 December, 2004, of Tony Adams (b. Romford, England, 10 Oct, 1966), the British football star, and Miss Poppy Teacher, 31, scion of the eponymous whisky family.
The couple are parents of an infant son, Atticus William, who was born 8 February, 2004.
The new Mrs Adams is one of the four children of the late (Anthony) James Moreton Teacher (1937-2003), & is a great-great-great-granddaughter of William Teacher, who founded the world famous Teacher's whisky brand. Poppy is a granddaughter of Brigadier Anthony Donald Macdonald Teacher, CBE, DL, who died in 1969, by his wife, the former Awdry Clarise Macnaghten, of the
Macnaghten Baronets.
Poppy's mother is (Rosemary) Chloe, daughter of Major Sir Henry Joseph d'Avigdor-Goldsmid, 2nd Baronet, DSO, MC, TD. She was High Sheriff of Kent, 1994/5.
