I find it odd that Princess Alexandra is styled the hon Lady Ogilvy.
As the daughter of a (Royal) Duke she should be correctly addressed as HRH Princess Alexandra, Lady Alexandra Ogilvy (a Duke's daughter being of higher rank than a Knight, her title takes precedence over her husband's).
The same applies to Princess Anne, who should be HRH The Princess Royal, Lady Anne Laurence. |

Princess Anne followed the precedent set by Princess Alexandra when she married Mark Phillips in 1973 and became HRH The Princess Anne, Mrs Mark Phillips. Within months the princess was awarded the GCVO, and Private Eye jokingly suggested that she was now HRH The Princess Anne, Dame Anne Phillips.
Of course the Queen is fount of all honour and determines the styles and titles of her relations, and so "the Hon Lady Ogilvy" it is.
