The Dowager Baroness Hindlip died 11 November, 2000, aged 90, widow of the 5th Baron Hindlip who died in 1993.

Thanks for all of the good work updating all of these entries - will keep me busy for a while entering them all!

I especially appreciate it when you list the newspaper entries for the BDM notice, as it lets me keep my sources as close to the orignial source as possible.

The engagement was announced 8 May 2009, between Robert Fletcher,
younger son of Mr and Mrs James Fletcher, and the Hon Sopbhia Atherley
(Sofie) Allsopp (b 1980), second daughter of the 6th Baron Hindlip (b
5 Aug 1940), by his wife the former Fiona Victoria Jean Atherley
McGowan (b. 18 Nov 1947), scion of the Barons MacGowan, only child of
Hon William Johnston McGowan (by his wife Helen Myrtle Dorothy Kellett
MBE, widow of Col Edward Orlando Kellett DSO MP and 2nd dau. of Arthur
Atherley, of Landguard Manor, Isle of Wight), 2nd son of Harry Duncan
[McGowan], 1st Baron McGowan.

Sofie's elder sister, Kirstie Allsopp, is the tv presenter.

.HRH The Duchess of Cornwall attended the wedding at Chadlington, Oxfordshire, 28 May, 2012, of her godson, the Hon Henry William Allsopp [b 8 Jun 1973], only son of the 6th Baron Hindlip [b 5 Aug 1940] and Baroness Hindlip [scion of the Barons McGowan], and the Hon Naomi Gummer [b 10 Jan 1984] eldest daughter of Peter Selwyn Gummer, Baron Chadlington [Life Peer] b 24 Aug 1942, and Baroness Chadlington.

_.The marriage took place at Chilham Castle, Kent, in June, 2012, of James Leonard Allsopp (b 1978), scion of the Barons Hindlip, son of the Hon John Peter Allsopp (b 1942), by his wife the former Daryl Shawzin, & Jacquetta Lydia Wheeler (b 1981), second daughter of (John) Stuart Wheeler (b 1935), of Chilham Castle, Kent, by his wife the former Teresa Anne Codrington (b 1944), scion of the Codrington Baronets (cr GB, 1721).
James Allsopp is a grandson of the 5th Baron Hindlip (1912-93) (cr UK, 1886). The bride's father, Stuart Wheeler, is the adopted son of Capt Alexander Hamilton Wheeler, MC (who d 1942), and his wife the former Betty Lydia Gibbons, scion of the Gibbons Baronets (cr GB, 1752), &c.
