Cavenagh-Mainwaring, yst dau of Mr & Mrs Guy Cavenagh-Mainwaring.

The marriage took place, 8 October, 1999, between Mr Adrian Strong and
Miss Fleur Cavenagh-Mainwaring.

Capt. Maurice Kildare Caveagh-Mainwaringm DSO, President of the Second Admiralty Interview Board, 1955-56, and later Naval Attache at Paris, died 9 January, 2003. He was 94. He was born 13 April, 1908, the younger son of Major James Gordon Cavenagh-Mainwaring, of Whitmore Hall, Staffordshire, by his wife, Evelyn Dutton Green & was educated at the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth. Career: DSO, 1940; specialised in submarines 1930-46; served in WW2; Joint Services Staff College, 1951-52; HMS St Angelo & Flag Captain to the Flag Officer, Malta 1952-54; President, Second Admiralty Interview Board, 1955-56; Naval Attache at Paris, 1957-60; a Naval ADC to Queen Elizabeth II, 1960; retired from the Royal Navy, 1960. Cavenagh-Mainwaring received the Cross of Merit Sovereign Order, Knights of Malta 1955; Comdr Legion d'Honneur, 1960.
He married, 15 February, 1933, Iris Mary, only daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Albert Denaro, OBE, of Valletta, Malta, by whom he had one son, Charles Rafe, born in 1944. Now dead .




Fleur Amicia Strong b. 1970 [nee Cavenagh-Mainwaring] wife since 8 Oct, 1999, of Adrian Peter Ciaran Strong, gave birth to a son, Guy James Peter, 24 March, 2004. Mr Strong is the only son of Mr & Mrs Peter Strong, & Mrs Strong is the former Fleur A. Cavenagh-Mainwaring, youngest dau of Guy Cavenagh-Mainwaring [b. 1934], of that landed family, of Whitmore Hall, Staffordshire, High Sheriff of Staffordshire, 1977-8, by his wife the former Margery Christine Rachel Robbins.

Heather Cavenagh-Mainwaring (née Cross), wife of Edward Cavenagh-Mainwaring, scion of that LG family of Whitmore Hall, Staffs, gave birth to a daughter, Adelaide Lily, 8 April, 2008.

_(Constance) Mary Beckett (nee Cavenagh-Mainwaring), who died 13 August, 2012, at Winchester, aged 102, was a scion of the Cavenagh-Mainwaring landed family of Whitmore & Biddulph; she was the younger daughter of James Gordon Cavenagh-Mainwaring (1865-1938), of Whitmore Hall, Whitmore, Staffordshire, by his wife the former Evelyn Dutton Green (d 1963); married 5 Dec, 1936, Lt-Col Maurice Beckett, King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (who d. 2 Nov, 1949), by whom she had 2 daughters, Veronica and Diana.
