Death at Winchester, 14 Oct, 1995, of Maida Cecil Boyle, 98, (nee Evans-Freke, of the Barons Carbery), wife of the late Capt E.M.G.L. Boyle.

The engagement was announced, 6 June, 2000, between James Eric, [b. 1976], elder son of the Hon John and Mrs Evans-Freke, of Lynturk, Aberdeenshire, and grandson of the 11th Baron Carbery, and Emma Rachel, [b. 1978], daughter of Baronet-to-be Henry Aykroyd, of Aberdeenshire. The Hon John Evans-Freke was land agent to the Duke of Northumberland at Alnwick, and is he now doing the job at Balmoral [?].

The marriage took place, 11 January, 2003, at Sherborne Abbey, Dorset, between Mr Dominic Ralfe Cecil Evans-Freke, (b. 1969), only son of the Hon Michael Peter Evans-Freke, (b. 1942), of Chilcompton, Somerset, and the Hon Mrs Michael Evans-Freke, (nee Gurney), of Lower Farm, Bishopstone, Wiltshire, and Miss Marina Alexandra Whetherly, [b. 30 January, 1976], only daughter of the late Mr Robin Christopher Whetherly, [1947-99], late the Royal Horse Guards, and of Mrs Sally Ann Whetherly, [nee Price], of Evershot, Dorset. Dominic's father is the eldest son and heir of the 11th Baron Carbery, and he is therefore in direct line to inherit the peerage (of Ireland).The bride is also of noble stock. Her late father was the second son of Lt-Col. Wiliam Erskine Stobart Whetherly, who m. 1938, the Hon. Rosemary Gertrude Alexandra Lever, second daughter of the 2nd Viscount Leverhulme.

Isabel Dean (nee Evans-Freke) scion of the Barons Carbery and wife of Robert Dean, gave birth to a daughter, Eleanor Sophia, 27 March, 2004.

Marina Alexandra Evans-Freke (nee Whetherly) (b. 1976), wife since 2003 of Dominic Ralfe Cecil Evans-Freke, (b. 1969), gave birth to a son, Benedict Robin Harrington, 20 October, 2004. Dominic is the only son of the Hon Michael Peter Evans-Freke, (b. 1942), of Chilcompton, Somerset, and the Hon Mrs Michael Evans-Freke, (nee Gurney), of Lower Farm,

The Baroness Carbery, wife of the 11th Baron, died 19 April, 2006. She was aged 87. She was born Joyzelle Mary Binnie, the only daughter of Herbert Binnie, of Sydney, Australia, and married the then Peter Ralfe Evans-Freke in 1941, who succeeded to the peerage (Ireland 1715)and baronetcy (Ireland 1768), on the death of his uncle in 1970. She is survived by her husband and five children. A Requiem Mass takes place at the Sacred Heart Church, Edge Hill, Wimbledon, 4 May, 2006.

Isabel Dean (nee Evans-Freke) scion of the Barons Carbery and wife of Robert Dean, gave birth to a son, William Thomas Wilkin, 24 May, 2006, at Nelspruit, South Africa, a brother for Eleanor Sophia (Ella), who was b. 27 March, 2004.

Marina Alexandra Evans-Freke (nee Whetherly) (b. 1976), wife since 2003 of Dominic Ralfe Cecil Evans-Freke, (b. 1969), gave birth to a son, Arthur George Stobart, 7 November, 2006, a brother for Benedict Robin Harrington,who was b. 20 October, 2004.

of co Tyrone)], and Janet E dau of S EGAR of Longthorpe House,
Peterborough.
Tania Louise (b 1978) is the dau of Maj Patrick Haslett FREKE EVANS
and Susan Penelope dau of Major G KENT of Furzen Lodge, Abinger
Common, Surrey. I can't easily connect her with Lord CARBERY's family
(family name Evans-Freke) but it's possible she is related to them.
Her brother Piers Carbery (b 1981) bears the title as his middle name.

The Baron Carbery, who died 28 July, 2012, aged 92, was 11th Baron in the Peerage of Ireland (cr 1715). He was born Peter Ralfe Harrington Evans-Freke, 20 March, 1920, son of Maj the Hon Ralfe Evans-Freke, MBE, by his wife the former Vera Harrington-Moore, and was a nephew of the10th Baron.

He succeeded his uncle in the peerage and baronetcy, 25 Dec, 1970; married 1941, Joyzelle Mary, daughter of Herbert Binnie, of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, by whom he had issue, 3 sons and 2 daughters.

The family honours devolve upon his eldest son, the Hon Michael Peter Evans-Freke, who was born 11 Oct, 1942.
