From the Telegraph of March 16th 2010

FARQUHARSON
Colin Andrew on 13th March, beloved husband of Clodagh and the late
Jean, father to Jilly and Mo, stepfather of David, Joanna, Pippy,
Simon and Mark, and adored grandfather and great-grandfather. Private
funeral. Thanksgiving Service in April - date to be announced.


He's of the LG family of Whitehouse, Aberdeenshire (1914 edn). His dau
Jill Mary married The Master of Arbuthnott (b 1950) son and ha of the
16th & present Viscount of Arbuthnott and has issue, including a son
and heir

From the Times of 10 September 2010:
ARBUTHNOTT Hugh John. Peacefully at home on Thursday 9 September 2010,
beloved husband of Betty and previously D and much loved father and
grandfather....
He was the son of Lt-Col Hugh ARBUTHNOTT (1896-1961, gt gs of the 8th
Viscount of ARBUTHNOTT) and Jess Agnes (d 1978, dau of Robert
HENDERSON). He m 1st 1954 Dorothy Ferguson (d 1991) dau of Col Sir
William Lang DENHOLM TD of Glenmil, Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire. He m 2nd
1998 Elizabeth Jennings (formerly Mrs Charles Thomas McCrea) dau of
Alexander George CALDER. He had four daus by his 1st marriage.

_The Viscount of Arbuthnott, who has died aged 87, was the 16th Viscount (cr 1641), and the 16th Lord Inverbervie (also cr 1641) both in the Peerage of Scotland, and was Chief of the Name & Arms of Arbuthnott.

Lord Arbuthnott served as Lord Lieutenant of the Grampian Region (Kincardineshire) 1977-99, and was appointed a Knight of the Order of the Thistle in 1996.

John Campbell Arbuthnott was b 26 Oct, 1924, son of the 15th viscount by his wife the former Ursula Collingwood (d 20 Dec 1989), and succeeded to the peerages on his father's demise, 15 Dec, 1966.

He married in 1949, Elizabeth Mary Darley Oxley, who d.16 January, 2010, by whom he had issue. His son, the Hon John Keith Oxley Arbuthnott, Master of Arbuthnott, who was b 18 Jul 1950, succeeds to the peerages.
