I am writing to report an apparent error. It is well-known in my family (my mother was Margaret Synge (#370362) that Isabella Hamilton (#369043) (who was my great-great-great grandmother) was the daughter of Alexander Hamilton (#369045) (as peerage.com correctly has it) and that Alexander Hamilton was the son of the Rt. Rev. Hugh Hamilton (#23196).

Now you have Alexander Hamilton as the son of a Hugh Hamilton (#369119), but you treat this Hugh Hamilton as distinct from the Rt. Rev. Hugh Hamilton (#23196). But they are one and the same person. Except for the fact that you list Alexander Hamilton as the only child of Hugh Hamilton (#369119) and Henry Hamilton as the only child of Rt. Rev. Hugh Hamilton (#23196), there is no contradictory information about these two individuals and hence no reason to contradict my claim that they are one and the same individual.
