In the middle of France, one hour from Chartres, you can find a little settlement with a small parish-church.Inside you will find a facet-glass coffin with the corps of a young girl. In 1824 pope Leo XII offered it as a gift to the french aristocrat "deLevy", a diplomat who promised to accommodate this girl in the adequate surrunding of his home-castle, first in a small cave of the tremendous cellers and later on in the parish-church. They called her "St.Felicité", a name which was not certifiedby any documents. Legalized as an immigrated sainte-refugee with such false identity she never got into problems. In 1980 the department of archeology made a regular investigation of all antiques in the area. They put the 12-13 years old youngster into a tomograph and argued about the possibility to see a little fetus in the belly. The infant also seemed to have two broken neck-vertebras, but it obvously did not belong to the centuries when saints were cummon,- not very antique, only end of 18.century, nicknamed St.Félicité and not to be found in the registers of saints, but with an illegitimate embryo in the womb. After this clearance the temporary owner, Viscount Thalouhet offered the ultimate fake to the museum near by, but the refused because they only acceptet "authentic items"! That´s what his forester told, and he also said, soon a roomer weas spread out in the area, about a trial in Italy and about a bad girl, an almost antique "broquante", which is not registered in the archives of the roman-catholicchurch, others said, it might be the mummy of an aristocrat´s child.

In 1968 people in Paris informed a young German about this corps. They said, the secret about is, it´s the body of a boy. Some people smuggled him in the End of 17. century to Italy, where he died some years later. Hiding him as a girls mummy, they gave the sainte´s name to him. But the parish where this mummy was kept got into big problems. The monks where not able to understand the reason for some terrible accidents which happened all the while. So they decided to give this ´Sainte´back to France, with the convinient help of the diplomat as possessor. Back in France, it did not haunt anymore.
This people invited the German for the Easter-Weekend to stay there and to visit the confindential secret. But the German was not in the mood to spend Easter in the surrunding of a mummy and when he came back from holidays in Germany the French told him, this story about the boy was made up to prove his confidence. Later on he got the information, somebody would have to buy a house in this village and it should become his heritage. He only had to sign some papers before. But they did not give an address to him. There was a long twisting about it and the viscount, a friend of James Goldsmith and somebody called "le charbonier du pape", said to his forester "there is a Sigmaringer in our village, with him some people can do what they want!"

However, in internet you can find a foto which shows a completely different mummy probably by mistake, but there is an explanition about a recent restauration, not a completely different mummy in a different coffin (ch´a`sse).

When I saw it in 1989, the altararea was behind a large curtain for renovation and there was on the right side before the benches a cristal coffin on a baseframe with a darkhaired girl inside.

The ´Sigmaringer`had a lot of headaches about 20 years and he asked to finish the dependency before his life would end. He got e new contract about new twistings leading until July 1981. It was the time of a special conjunction when the German would be 35. Hereafter the ´Sigmaringer´got papers about his time during World-War II. which gave the prove, he was in civilien service at that time. It was a solid base to live without discovering related to a man in high position who controlled the whole family. So he kept the house-heritage for himself and for his family. In 1983 an account of 1,5 million DM transferred from a trustee in Germany to France disappiared some years later. One argumend for embezzeling the German seemed, someone abused him to be infected with hepatitis C. [/quote]
