_The engagement was announced 24 September, 2009, between William
Herbrand Thomas Sackville, styled Lord Buckhurst (b. 13 Jun 1979), son
and heir of William Herbrand [Sackville], 11th Earl De La Warr (b 10
Apr 1948), of Buckhurst Park, Sussex, by his wife, the former Anne
Leveson (former wife of Adrian John Charles [Hope], 4th Marquess of
Linlithgow), & 1st dau. of Arthur Edmund Leveson OBE, of Hall Place,
Ropley, co. Hampshire, and Countess Xenia Tolstoy-Miloslavsky, yst dau
of Count & Countess Tolstoy-Miloslavsky, of Southmoor, Berkshire.

Katherine, peacefully at home on 1st August 2010, aged 84. Kitty,
beloved wife for 64 years of Frank Giles, mother of Sarah, Sebastian
and Belinda and granny of Lily, Max, Joe, Lucas and Fred. Funeral at
St Michael & All Angels, Withyham, E. Sussex on Wednesday, 18th August
at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, please to

She was the dau of the 9th Earl DE LA WARR (1900-76) and his first
wife Diana (d 1966, dau of Capt Henry Gerard LEIGH, of that gentry
family of Thorpe Satchville Hall). She m 1946 Frank Thomas Robertson
GILES (Sunday Times editor 1981-83) son of Col Frank Lucas Netlam
Giles DSO OBE, of Barn Close, Finchampstead, Berks. They had a son and
two daus.

Anne Countess De La Warr (nee Devas), widow of the 10th Earl, died 9 May 2012, aged 92.
